EAT IT is an irreverent, clever and touching anthology of women’s writing that hinges on the carnal. It’s a tasting menu of unique, genre-spanning stories that explore what it means to be a woman who’s hungry for more. Literally. And literarily.

There was a time, not so long ago, when women belonged only in the kitchen. As a postmodern, one-fingered salute to this idea, we want to make the kitchen a subversive place where anything can happen, from gender play to power trips to really, really good risotto. So imagine EAT IT as the book equivalent of a medievally furnished banquet table attended by Sasha Grey, Frida Kahlo, Jeanette Winterson, Mindy Kaling, Elizabeth Gilbert, some other cool chicks and you.

The collection will include essays, short stories, recipes, poems, fictional restaurant reviews, tales of 27 hamburgers, a recipe for sexy panties and a plot to takeover the world one milkshake at a time. Writers, and their manner of contributions, will be as diverse as the flavours of Kit Kat available in Japan. (Did you know they have a Sweet Potato Kit Kat? And a Black Tea one? Citrus Pepper? Forrealz. Check it out.) It will be hilarious, provoking, thoughtful and filling. And there will be more than one oozy maraschino cherry on top.

EAT IT is scheduled for release early 2013.

If you want details about purchasing and ordering EAT IT, please send us an email (eatit@feathertale.com) and we'll get in touch closer to the publication date. We promise not to SPAM your inbox. However, we do not promise that the book will be SPAM-free. Because SPAM, the food product, is grotesquely hilarious. And also a good source of protein.

So open wide --'cause EAT IT is coming soon.
